Pomona CDO Peer Advisors

We are so happy to introduce you to our Peer Advisors for the Fall 2020 semester.  You can meet with a Peer for drop-in appointments, to create/review your resume, tips for finding internships & jobs, and help you find the resources you need! We look forward to meeting you!

Who are we?

Calder Hollond

Calder is a sophomore from Kansas studying Gender Studies and Pre-Health. She hopes to pursue a career in women's health, increasing the accessibility and quality of reproductive healthcare. When she's not working at the CDO, reading gender theory, or at lab, she also competes on the Pomona-Pitzer XC team. She enjoys going on hikes, exploring LA, and drinking apple cider from Some Crust. Her favorite parts of working at the CDO are critiquing résumés, giving pre-health job advice, and the free tea.

José Magana

José is a sophomore Public Policy Analysis-Economics major. He is originally from the Southwest Side of Chicago and is interested in management consulting and financial services. During his free time, José likes to spend time with friends, work out, and watch countless episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine while eating good food.

Fun fact: José has a Hahns Macaw named Prettybird who loves to say "massage" while being petted.

Wesley Chang

Wesley is a sophomore economics major from Pasadena, California. As an economics major, he has interned for companies in Europe and Asia, where he saw how businesses operate globally. Wesley is also an economics cohort mentor, assisting a group of first year first-generation/low income students with their transition into Pomona College. He plans on pursing a finance oriented career, analyzing tomorrow’s up-and-coming markets and businesses.

Wesley is a competitive swimmer and is on the Pomona-Pitzer Varsity Swim and Dive Team. He also enjoys playing intramural sports such as inner-tube water polo.
