Who Are We?

Gerardo is a senior from Miami, FL double majoring in Politics and Latin American Studies. He hopes to pursue a career in law, government, or public policy. When not working at the CDO, you can find him at the Draper Center as a Student Coordinator or trying to find some time to shoot some hoops at the basketball courts at Walker Beach. In his free time, Gerardo enjoys being with friends or binge-watching action movies. Gerardo hopes to give you the individualized support you need to grow and overcome any professional obstacles.

Lily is a junior from Larchmont, NY. They are majoring in Anthropology. When not working at the CDO, Lily loves to write poetry, learn new languages, play the drums, make films, and participate in Mock Trial. They love connecting with students and they are so thrilled to be returning as a Peer Advisor after taking a gap year during the 2020-21 school year.

Kevin is a junior at Pomona College studying math and economics. He hails from Naperville, IL and enjoys drinking green tea. Outside of the CDO, you can find Kevin boiling tea in the Math Lounge and conducting introspective walks in the evening on Marston Quad. Kevin is extraordinarily excited to work with students at the CDO and help explore, discover, and map out where they want to go.

Beliz is a junior from Turkey, majoring in International Relations and minoring in History. She hopes to work in immigration and refugee non-profit work after graduation. When not working at the CDO, you can find her at the CARES Office working on events and workshops related to sexual assault, bystander intervention and relationship violence. In her free time, she loves to go on long runs and hang out with her friends. When working with the CDO, she hopes to specifically inform and help international students.

Tara is a junior from Illinois majoring in International Relations. When not working at the CDO, she is a part of the Claremont Business Group and the Sunrise Movement. She enjoys spending time with friends, catching the latest movies, and has tried to keep up with the surfing she learned from her OA trip. After returning to in-person school, she’s begun to engage more with creative writing and hopes to spend plenty of time on Walker Beach.

Krystal is a third-year from San Jose, CA majoring in English (and potentially minoring in Gender & Women’s Studies). She is interested in digital marketing, social media, and communications work. Last summer, Krystal worked as an account manager at a small social media company, but she has previous experience working in publishing, political organizing, and teaching. When not at the CDO, you can find Krystal hanging out with her AAMP mentees around campus, playing Breath of the Wild, or reading a fantasy novel.

Olivia is a second-year from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She is undeclared, but she plans on majoring in Public Policy Analysis with a concentration in either Sociology or Africana Studies. She wants to use what she learns to help create better policies that benefit the black community and other minority groups. She is also involved in the OBSA mentorship program and the Pomona Events Committee. In her free time, she enjoys skateboarding with friends and trying new foods in the city!

He is an incoming investment banking analyst at Bank of America interested in pursuing a career in finance, entrepreneurship and diplomacy.
