The college provides e-mail (MyMail account) for students and alumni via Microsoft’s MyMail service. MyMail, powered by Microsoft, offers features such as an improved interface that works across multiple web browsers support for a more dynamic experience in external mail clients (Outlook, Apple Mail, iOS Mail, etc.).

Your MyMail account will become inactive if you fail to sign into the MyMail web interface at least every 180 days. After an account becomes inactive, all messages, folders, and contacts are deleted. Incoming messages will be sent back to the sender as undeliverable. Your account name is still reserved. However, if the account stays inactive for an additional 90 days, the account name may be permanently deleted. If you don’t use your MyMail account for 365 days, your account (and email within) may be permanently deleted by Microsoft.
Please be aware that your FirstName.LastName@pomona.edu and FirstName_LastName@pomona.edu addresses only exist while you are attending the college. Once you have graduated, the only address that will exist and can be used to send email to your MyMail address is the email@example.com address (e.g., firstname.lastname@example.org). All other email aliases will be purged on December 1 of your graduation year.
It is extremely important that you set up an alternative email address in your MyMail account for password recovery purposes. Log into the MyMail webmail interface. Then, click here for instructions on setting your password reset information.
Google Chrome may not work properly with the MyMail webmail interface at times. Where you encounter an issue with Chrome, please try Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari instead.
Adjust Settings of your MyMail Account via Webmail
ITS recommends using the MyMail web interface over all other forms of checking your MyMail account. It is the easiest way to check your messages and there is no setup involved.
Further, using the webmail interface of your MyMail account will allow you to change the setting of your account (your display name, junk mail, mail forwarding, time zone, etc.) that you can’t do with email software (Outlook, Apple Mail, iOS Mail, etc.).
