Pomona offers a program for prospective students who are high school seniors or transfer applicants to stay overnight in a residence hall as the guest of a current student. Visits are generally available Monday through Thursday nights during October and November. In March and April overnight visits are reserved for admitted students. On Sunday, April 8 and April 15, admitted students are allowed to schedule an overnight visit in conjunction with Admitted Students Days. We provide visitors with:
- A visitor's ID
- Meal passes for dining halls
- Library and athletics facilities passes
- Cots and linens
Scheduling an Overnight Visit
Please be aware that, due to limited availability, we can only accommodate overnight visitors on a first-come, first-served basis for a one-night stay, and we are unable to accommodate requests for stays on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday nights. On those days, we can suggest some local hotels. To request an overnight stay, choose an available date on this calendar at least two weeks in advance of your requested date of stay.
You will receive information about your student host shortly before your stay. Hosts may take visitors to their classes, or visitors can attend classes of interest from schedules available in the Office of Admissions.
For more information about overnight stays, please contact Rhosheil Chavez-Uy.
