Dear Pomona College Faculty and Staff,
With winter drawing near, we are writing to provide everyone with resources to stay up-to-date on COVID-19 bivalent boosters as well as flu vaccination.
Student Health Services is offering free COVID-19 bivalent booster clinics today, November 11, and next Thursday, November 17, for students, faculty and staff.
The bivalent boosters and this year’s influenza vaccine also are widely available at local pharmacies with appointments available through the state website.
On Thursday, Los Angeles County Department of Public Health warned of early signs of a winter increase in COVID-19 cases.
Staff and faculty COVID-19 testing continues to be available at the Hamilton Health Box clinic at 118 8th Street during the following hours:
- Tuesday: 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.
- Thursday: 2 p.m.- 3:30 p.m.
Testing also is available by appointment by contacting Nurse Stephanie Garcia-Barragan (stephanie.garcia-barragan@pomona.edu) in the Hamilton Health Box clinic. If you have COVID-19 symptoms or have tested positive through another source, such as your doctor or a home test, please let Garcia-Barragan know immediately.
