COVID-19 Safety Steps for Start of Semester (1/10/22)

Dear Pomona College Community,

With a new semester set to begin, we are writing to share COVID-19 community safety steps for the first weeks of the semester.

Starting today, Tuesday, January 10, staff and faculty COVID-19 testing will once again be available at the Hamilton Health Box clinic at 118 8th Street. Testing is from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursdays.

To promote community safety, we strongly recommend that all faculty and staff undergo weekly testing through January 27. Students have been notified that they are required to test weekly through January 27. We also strongly recommend that everyone who is eligible receive the new bivalent vaccine booster for COVID-19. Appointments are widely available through the state appointment site.

If you are sick, please do not come to work. If you have COVID-19 symptoms or have tested positive through another source, please notify Nurse Stephanie Garcia-Barragan ( in the Hamilton Health Box clinic right away.

Thank you for your help in getting the new semester off to a strong start.
