Dear Faculty and Staff,
As we return to campus for the fall semester, we hope that you have had time to rest and relax this summer in preparation for a new academic year.
To support our academic mission, we will start the year with some COVID-19 safety steps for faculty and staff.
All faculty and staff, including those who have not been regularly testing over the summer, must test weekly at the Hamilton Health Box (HHB) Clinic on 8th Street starting today, August 16, and continuing through September 8. (Please note that if you are approved to be on campus and are unvaccinated, weekly testing continues to be required.)
The purpose of this start-of-semester weekly testing period is to provide an extra layer of safety during this time when students, along with many faculty and staff, are returning to campus from different locations.
Starting today (August 16), the HHB testing clinic for faculty and staff is open 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, and 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
As an additional measure, masks will continue to be required for all those entering and working in the dining halls.
Although not required, we strongly recommend that faculty and staff complete the daily health check.
Additional steps you can take now:
- Indoor masking is strongly recommended for the foreseeable future.
- If you test positive through another source, whether your own doctor, home test or traveling, please let Nurse Stephanie Garcia-Barragan (firstname.lastname@example.org) in the Hamilton Health Box clinic know immediately. Only our HHB professionals will be conducting contact tracing and communicating with departments and supervisors.
Thank you for your help in maintaining safety on our campus.
