Jill Pace became the head coach of the Pomona-Pitzer women's basketball team in the summer of 2016. Over the past two seasons, she coached two All-SCIAC players, one who was named Rookie of the Year in 2017-2018. The Sagehens jumped three spots in conference rankings over the span of the two seasons.
Before Pomona-Pitzer, Pace spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Tufts University. At Tufts, she helped coach the team to a conference championship, back-to-back Final Four appearances, and a National Championship appearance during the 2015-2016 season. Previous to Tufts, she spent two years at Smith College where she assisted the team that made the NCAA tournament for the first time in program history.
As a player, Pace played on Bowdoin College teams that made the NCAA tournament all four years and won one conference championship. She was an all-conference and all-academic player, in addition to scoring 1,000 points and being named an honorable mention All-American.
