Celliola & Friends

Celliola members Cynthia Fogg (viola) and Tom Flaherty (cello) once again kick off our Fall 2020 season presenting a virtual concert of music by living composers Tom Flaherty, Oliver Dubon (PC '20), Eric Moe and Karl Kohn, emeritus professor of music.

Joining the duo for this program are friends and fellow faculty members Melissa Givens (soprano), Scott Graff (baritone), Joti Rockwell (mandolin and mandola), and Genevieve Feiwen Lee (piano).

Celliola was founded in 1979 by Flaherty and Fogg, choosing the name – Celliola – as a blend of cello and viola. Since their founding the ensemble has premiered over 35 works composed for the duo, and have also commissioned many works. From solos to duets and pieces for chamber ensembles, their concerts are typically full of works written within the last five years.
