Award-winning author Mohsin Hamid tackles one of the top national and international political issues – the struggles of refugees. Chosen as Pomona College’s 2018 community book, Exit West sets an intimate tale of human endurance within a panoramic global perspective. Hamid will discuss his novel and immigration in the modern world in a talk with Pomona College Professor Arash Khazeni. The event is free and open to the public.

Live streaming of this event will be available beginning at approximately 7:50 p.m. on October 10.

New York Times bestseller, Exit West was named as one of the 10 best books of 2017 by The New York Times Book Review and was awarded both the 2018 Los Angeles Times Book Prize for fiction and the Aspen Words Literary Prize.
