The Humanities Studio welcomes journalist and anthropologist Brian Goldstone, director of the “In the Press” journalism and public humanities writing initiative at Duke University, to discuss “Taking Scholarship Public: Writing for Magazines and Trade Publishers.” Goldstone writes for Harper’s, The New Republic, and Guernica among other publications. He is currently writing a book about housing insecurity and the dramatic rise of the working homeless in America’s boom cities, to be published by Crown. The event is part of the Humanities Studio’s Toolkit series of practical workshops and interviews. It is free and open to the public.
