Please join us for an information session and a Q&A for the 2019 Claremont-UC Undergraduate Research Conference on the European Union. The conference will take place on April 4-5, 2019 at Scripps College. Applications are due February 15.
The purpose of the conference is to enhance undergraduate training in and knowledge of the European Union (EU) and US–European Relations. In addition, the aim of the conference is to allow students with expertise in different areas to interact with each other as well as with faculty, foster intercampus cooperation, and recognize the excellent work achieved by students. Topics may deal with any aspect of European integration or transatlantic relations. Papers can be about the European Union, a particular country within the EU, or the EU’s relationship with outside countries.
The European Union Center of California serves to advance public understanding of European integration and transatlantic relations through education and research. The Center sponsors a curriculum in European Union Studies at The Claremont Colleges; provides opportunities for students to study in Europe and to intern at various international organizations based in Europe; hosts scholarly conferences as well as lectures by distinguished visitors; and participates in the West Coast Model EU.
