The London Handel Players: Adrian Butterfield, Baroque violin; Rachel Brown, Baroque flute and recorder; Katherine Sharman, Baroque cello; and Silas Wollston, harpsichord present a program with music by C.P.E. Bach, François Couperin, Francesco Geminiani, Handel, Pieter Hellendaal, Johann Joachim Quantz and Domenico Scarlatti. Known for their “consummate skill and musicianship” (The New York Times), this world-class ensemble brings together leading Baroque chamber music specialists on period-instruments. Having made their debut at Handel’s parish church, St. George’s Hanover Square, as part of the London Handel Festival over 15 years ago, they have regularly appeared at music festivals and in concert across the UK, Europe and North America in such venues as Wigmore Hall, the Frick Museum and Carnegie Hall, as well as on BBC Radio 3.
