Submitting the Leave of Absence or Semester Withdrawal application begins the official process of taking a leave for the semester(s) indicated below.
A leave of absence is granted when the leave is requested in advance of the start of a semester, or prior to the course drop deadline of a current semester. A semester withdrawal is granted when a student requests a leave after the course drop deadline in a specific semester. Please be in touch with your Class Dean so that you are aware of the academic implications for taking a semester withdrawal.
Students choosing to withdraw or transfer from Pomona should complete this form, selecting "More than one academic year" as the expected length of time away, and "Transfer/ Withdrawal from Pomona" as the leave type.
The change of enrollment status indicated on this form will be processed within 48 hours of submission and will reflect the original date of submission.
