You want beautiful mountain views, but you don’t want to squat behind a tree. You’d like experience the challenges of the wilderness, but sleep in a warm bed and wake up to pancakes and a hot shower. If this sounds like you, then Camp OA is your trip. In the mountains near Santa Barbara is Camp OA, a residential style camp atmosphere with a variety of activities. While at camp you will be able to bond with your OA group while participating in day hikes, high and low ropes challenge courses, taking a dip in the swimming pool, and possibly even archery and kayaking in a nearby lake. The camp has amazing food ready for you at each meal giving you and your OA group more time to enjoy together at camp.

At the end of the day, you will have the chance to share stories, play games and make smores by the campfire. Enjoy the mountain on your own terms! If you feel like hiking into the woods with no restroom in sight is too much of a push for you, then Camp OA is your answer.

Community Engagement Component

Previous OA trips to this location have worked with the rangers at Palomar Mountain State Park. Helping the understaffed state parks is a great way to pay it forward! Groups have been instrumental in cleaning the campgrounds for the enjoyment of future guests.

“I want to thank the group of students who stayed here at the County School Camp in late August. They were fantastic. The whole group, some 50 folks, understood their responsibilities and the cleanup work went flawlessly. I was blown away by how nice the campground looked after they had finished. Thank you.” – Randy Burt, Palomar Mountain State Park
