“Red Velvet,” as presented on Pomona’s Seaver Theatre stage, will differ from “Red Velvet” as written. The work about the great classical black actor Ira Aldridge is reimagined as a tale of triumph rather than tragedy.
“Crumbs from the Table of Joy” has themes that deeply resonate with the issues of our day, according to Saundra McClain who is directing students in this final play of the Pomona College Theatre Department’s 2018-2019 season.

Performances of “The Government Inspector” will be held at 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 16 through Saturday, November 18, and 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 17 and Sunday, November 18 at the Seaver Theatre.
