Preparing for Commencement
Graduation Information Form
The Graduation Information Form (GIF) is used to confirm graduate majors and to capture preferred diploma name, pronunciation and hometown. This form is required regardless of whether or not you plan to attend Commencement.
Caps, Gowns, Diploma Covers, Stoles
Pick Up Directions
- Caps, Gowns, and Diploma Covers will be available at HRL in Smith Campus Center 132 starting Monday, April 21st.
- To assist with smooth distribution on the first day, please arrive in accordance with the initial letter of your last name:
- A-D 8am – 10am
- E-K 10am – 12pm noon
- L-O 1pm – 3pm
- P-Z 3pm – 5pm
- All remaining Caps, Gowns, and Diploma Covers can be picked up at HRL during open business hours April 22nd - May 17th
- Diploma Covers – please do not participate in the commencement ceremony with your diploma cover on your person. Guests are welcome to hold your cover if you would like to place your diploma in it upon completion of the ceremony, during which you will receive your actual diploma.
- If you have notified the Office of the Registrar that you will not be participating in Commencement your diploma and diploma cover will be mailed to you after the ceremony.
- Stoles – The Alumni Advisory Board cordially invites the graduates of the Class of 2025 to drop by Seaver House on May 2 during Alumni Weekend to pick up your graduation stole, a gift to you from the Pomona College Alumni Association. Refreshments will be served. If you are unable to attend the reception during alumni Weekend, you can pick up your stole from Seaver House prior to Class Day. Look for an email from the Alumni Office with more information.
After Commencement – Gown and Key Return
- All gowns must be returned. Missing gowns are charged $150.00
Key Return – Due to summer housing turnaround, key returns will be audited and charged immediately. Missing keys are charged $150.00.
- Return Locations
- Drop off at HRL or Walker Lounge by 12:00pm noon on Monday, May 19th.
