    Kirk Jones is a certified athletic trainer and a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association. He is also a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, which has accepted his research for presentation each of the last five years.

    His research on the care and prevention of athletic injuries has also been published in the Journal of Physicians and Sports Medicine, the Journal of Post-Graduate Medicine, and Essentials of Sports Medicine. His work has also been reproduced in the NCAA Sports Medicine Guide.

    The training room he oversees provides programs for prevention and treatment of athletic injuries as well as conditioning and nutritional programs for 20 varsity sports, as well as intramural and club sports and the wider college community.
