    Phillip Young is a widely acclaimed soloist and chamber musician, having performed in cities throughout the U.S., including New York, Washington D.C. and Seattle, and in international venues in Switzerland, Norway, Japan, Namibia, Cape Town, Salzburg and Paris. He made his New York Carnegie debut with the St. Florian Piano Trio, an ensemble he has performed internationally with since 1987. Young is a fellowship recipient to the Tanglewood Music Center, Music Academy of the West, the Banff Centre for the Arts, the Aspen Music Festival and the Mozarteum, Salzburg, and is an alumnus of Peabody Conservatory (MM) and the University of Southern California (DMA). As a teacher he has been awarded the PCC Outstanding Lecture/Performance Award and has given master classes at the Shanghai Conservatory, and at universities in California and Oklahoma. He teaches piano at Pomona College and is chair of keyboard studies at Pasadena City College.
