Professor Shahriar Shahriari has been selected as the recipient of the 2014 Southern California-Nevada Section of the Mathematics Association of America Teaching Award. He will now be nominated for the national award, the Deborah and Franklin Tepper Haimo Award for Distinguished College or University Teaching of Mathematics. You may recall that he also won the Wig Award last May, his fourth such award. You just can't keep a good teacher down!
