Get Involved with the 2026 California Gubernatorial Debate at Pomona College

As a live broadcast, the 2026 gubernatorial debate at Bridges Auditorium requires specific camera shots and sightlines—and multiple installations of equipment with significant physical space needs — limiting the number of available seats. We’re doing our best to make as many seats available for the Pomona community as possible.

Tickets are free of charge; limited to one per Pomona College student, faculty or staff member; and are non-transferrable. We expect to receive a final ticket allocation by the second week of April. If interest exceeds available seating, tickets will be distributed via a random selection process.

Because seating is limited inside Bridges Auditorium, ASPC will offer parallel and additional programming for students in Frary Dining Hall alongside Pomona’s student chapter of the League of Women Voters. The programming will begin with a live debate watch party, followed by a post-debate discussion featuring special guests. CBS News California will have a correspondent at Frary throughout the evening’s events.

Students

Pomona College students who are interested in attending either the live debate at Bridges Auditorium or the Frary Dining Hall watch party should submit a student application. Pomona College’s Department of Student Affairs, together with ASPC, will review all student submissions.

Additionally, students who are interested in asking the candidates a question at the live debate are encouraged to submit a short video of their proposed question. You can also express your interest in volunteering on your application.

Applications will be accepted through April 8, 2026. Students who are selected to receive a ticket will be notified by April 21, 2026.

Faculty and Staff

Pomona College faculty and staff who are interested in attending the live debate at Bridges Auditorium should submit a faculty/staff application. Applications will be accepted through April 8, 2026.

Faculty and staff who are selected to receive a ticket will be notified on April 21, 2026.
