Sofia is a junior studying biology at Pomona College. She is very interested in entomology, especially pollinator ecology. Sofia works in the Meyer lab studying ant populations at the Bernard Field Station to understand how ant assemblages differ among habitat types. Last summer, she assisted on a long-term bee phenology project at the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory and researched the effects of climate change on parasitic bees and their hosts. Outside of Zoom classes, Sofia loves hiking, baking, singing, and playing guitar.
