Erin Michelle Collins, who currently serves in the role of Registrar at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) will be Pomona College’s next registrar starting July 12.
Erin has over 16 years of registrar office experience, specializing in academic records management, admissions and technological solutions. She joined CalArts in 2015 as their associate registrar and was promoted to registrar in 2018. Over the last six years, she has forged collaborative, efficient and effective relationships throughout the Institute, helping the registrar’s office to better meet the needs of students, alumni, faculty and staff. She currently serves on several cross-functional committees at CalArts and served as a staff trustee and member of the Board of Trustees from 2017 to 2019.
Prior to joining CalArts, Collins served in roles of increasing responsibility within admissions and records with the University of La Verne, Victor Valley College and Barstow Community College.
“I am delighted by the prospect of working with Pomona College in this time of great transformation and opportunity,” says Collins. “I look forward to identifying and cultivating opportunities for collaborative partnerships and continuing the culture of service. I am thrilled to contribute to the College’s mission and vision for the future.”
Collins holds a bachelor of science degree in social psychology from Park University in Missouri and a master of arts degree in psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
“I want to thank Kathie Rosacker for serving as interim registrar during this very challenging time, as well as the entire registrar’s office staff for their flexibility as well as their exceptional work in carrying out the work of the registrar’s office in an online and quickly changing environment,” says Robert Gaines, vice president for academic affairs and dean of the College. “I also want to thank the search committee for a job well done. Please join me in welcoming Erin to our community.”
