Actions You Can Take

F-1 and J-1 students must comply with all visa regulations, including full-time enrollment and reporting changes to ISSS.
Keep track of important deadlines for visa renewals and applications for Optional Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT).
Avoid unauthorized employment.
- Be Aware of Misinformation
Verify immigration and policy updates through ISSS, U.S. government websites, and legal professionals.
Avoid relying on social media or unofficial sources for immigration advice.
- Plan for International Travel
Ensure you have a valid passport (at least six months beyond your return date), visa, and I-20/DS-2019 with a recent travel signature.
Check visa processing times and schedule renewal appointments in advance.

Carry your immigration documents with you and keep them secure when traveling within the U.S.
Store original documents safely and have digital backups.
