Summer Projects
As we prepare for Summer 2026, Facilities and Campus Services (FCS) will be advancing a number of important campus improvement and infrastructure projects designed to maintain, modernize, and enhance the living, learning, and working environment across the College. Summer provides a critical opportunity to complete many of these efforts while minimizing disruption during the academic year.
This year’s projects reflect Pomona College’s continued commitment to deferred maintenance, sustainability, energy efficiency, student experience, and long-term stewardship of campus facilities. Planned projects include:

These projects are essential to maintaining the reliability, safety, and functionality of campus infrastructure while also supporting Pomona College’s broader sustainability and carbon reduction goals. Several projects focus specifically on improving energy efficiency through upgraded lighting systems, HVAC controls, air conditioning infrastructure, and renewable energy systems.
As with any active construction and maintenance season, members of the community should anticipate temporary impacts throughout the summer months. These impacts may include intermittent noise, construction fencing, modified pedestrian pathways, temporary parking restrictions, contractor vehicle activity, dust mitigation measures, and occasional utility interruptions. Every effort will be made to coordinate work in a manner that minimizes disruption to summer programs, research activities, conferences, and campus operations.
The Center for Global Engagement project, in particular, will generate increased construction activity in the vicinity of the Oldenborg site as demolition and site preparation activities advance. Additional communication regarding logistics, pedestrian circulation, and safety measures related to this project will be shared separately.
Facilities and Campus Services appreciates the community’s patience, flexibility, and support as we undertake these important investments in the campus. These projects play a critical role in preserving and enhancing the Sagehen experience for current and future generations.
Questions regarding specific projects may be directed to Facilities and Campus Services.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
