    Expertise

    Gary Qin is an interdisciplinary teacher-scholar with a research background in freshwater ecology, conservation biology, and environmental science. Specifically, assessing biodiversity threat patterns and freshwater health through a social-ecological lens. 

    His teaching focuses on promoting inclusive excellence and fostering well-rounded students who can think critically, analyze data, and write and speak well. His courses include EA30 (Environmental Science) and EA10 (Intro to Environmental Analysis).
