In September 2025, President Starr and Board Chair Janet Benton established an ad hoc working group of Pomona trustees and faculty to conduct due diligence activities designed to carefully assess whether a partnership would genuinely benefit Pomona and serve its mission as well as the future of CGU. All members of the working group and any consulted subject-matter experts were subject to CGU's Non-Disclosure Agreement throughout the fall semester. This group included:
