​In this multi-media presentation, Professor Emerita Sheila Pinkel will show and discuss works of art by incarcerated people as well as works by artists responding to issues of incarceration.

Sheila Pinkel is an emerita professor of art from Pomona College where she taught for 25 years. Her artwork, which has been exhibited nationally and internationally, deals with unseen dimensions in nature and culture. She is also an international editor of Leonardo, a publication dedicated to the intersection of art, science and technology and manages Leonardo Abstract Services (LABS) which is housed at Pomona College. She is on the executive board of the Center For The Study of Political Graphics and is very active in CURB (Californians United for a Responsible Budget) and LA No More Jails.
