Congratulations to History major and current senior Hong Deng Gao! Hong has been selected as a 2015 Gilder Lehrman History Scholar Award winner!
Sixteen students were selected for this year’s award, picked from juniors and seniors from across the country. Hong’s inclusion in this years cohort is a reflection of her exceptional record, including the historical research experience she has gained through SURP and the major.
The Gilder Lehrman Institute for American History is a history nonprofit founded on an exceptional collection of archival materials related to US history. As a 2015 Scholar, Hong will participate in a special program this summer in New York City, connecting her to eminent scholars and well as the Institute’s archives.
