The Claremont Colleges’ chapter of BridgeUSA brings students from across the ideological spectrum together to engage in constructive dialogue on issues playing out across the nation.
Pomona Student Union
A student-run organization dedicated to fostering a culture of active citizenship, intentional community and empathetic dialogue on Pomona’s campus, Pomona Student Union empowers Sagehens to challenge conventional assumptions and to take positive action on some of the most urgent and complex issues facing our communities and the world at large.
Co-Curricular Programming
Pre-Orientation Dialogue Groups
During pre-orientation, incoming students participate in a virtual session to get to know new classmates, learn skills of active listening and begin to build relationships across difference.
New Student Orientation
Student panelists, consisting of returning students, present on dialogue concepts and the topic of compassionate listening, before new students break into small groups for discussion.
Leap into Leadership Summit
Each fall, the summit prepares students for various leadership opportunities and includes presentations to impart dialogue skills to student leaders.
