Pomona College Named a Top Producer of Fulbright Students

Pomona College has been named one of the top producers of U.S. Fulbright students for 2024-25 among baccalaureate institutions, as reported by the Chronicle of Higher Education.

With 16 Fulbright U.S. students, Pomona tied at No. 2 with Amherst College and Barnard College among baccalaureate institutions nationwide. Oberlin College took the No. 1 spot on the list. Pomona has been recognized as a Fulbright Top Producing Institution for U.S. students 16 times since 2009-10.

At Pomona College, the Career Development Office administers fellowships such as the Fulbright Program.

The Fulbright Program was founded in 1946 with an ambitious goal—to increase mutual understanding and to support friendly and peaceful relations between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.

As the U.S. government’s flagship international academic exchange program, the Fulbright Program has provided more than 400,000 talented and accomplished students, scholars, teachers, artists and professionals of all backgrounds the opportunity to study, teach and conduct research abroad.
