Pomona College now offers a data science minor. Jo Hardin, Hardison Chair of Analytical Thinking and Professor of Mathematics and Statistics, is the guiding light for the new course of study and leads a steering committee from a range of departments.

The Fulbright Program has recognized Pomona College as one of the colleges and universities with the highest number of students and recent alumni selected for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. 

Four students from the Class of 2029 reflect on their path to Pomona, their first semester of classes and their hopes for the future.

Pomona College welcomes 15 new faculty to tenure-track and tenured positions this fall. Six taught at the College previously, including an alumna. The other nine are newcomers.

Their disciplines range from biology to mathematics to linguistics to religious studies, and their participation in the Fulbright U.S. Student Program will take them abroad to study, conduct research or teach English.

Seven members of the Class of 2025 were awarded the Rena Gurley Archibald High Scholarship Prize at Commencement on May 18. The prize is given to seniors drawn from the list of students with perfect GPAs.

Pomona College and the American Council of Learned Societies are jointly facilitating the Graves Awards to enhance teaching in humanities-related disciplines by early-career professors.
