Masago Armstrong helped thousands of students stay on track during her 30 years as registrar of Pomona College. Now, leaving a $1 million gift for scholarships at her passing, Armstrong will continue to shape students’ lives for years to come.

Pomona College has received a $1 million gift from the Fletcher Jones Foundation to support refugee students. The grant will establish a fund to ensure refugee students are able to lay the educational foundation for a new life.
Pomona College Trustee and alumnus Paul Eckstein and his wife, Florence, have pledged $1.2 million to establish a permanently endowed scholarship fund to support refugee students. It will honor Paul’s parents, Liese and Albert Eckstein.
