Pomona College students studying in Paris and Edinburgh are among 96 Sagehens studying away from their home campus fall semester through the College's International and Domestic Programs Office. There is a resurgence of interest in off-campus study.
By the time they graduate, about half of Pomona students have done at least one semester of off-campus study. The key is to seek a program that best fits their goals. Students gain experience navigating different environments and worldviews.
Pomona College has received a $1 million gift from the Fletcher Jones Foundation to support refugee students. The grant will establish a fund to ensure refugee students are able to lay the educational foundation for a new life.
