At Georgetown, we are engaging in a collaborative process this May to rethink and refresh our approach to educational sanctioning. Through a facilitated team process during Georgetown's annual "Teaching Learning and Innovation Summer Institute" we will work with colleagues from various student affairs departments to consider the goals of our educational sanctions, develop frameworks and assessment methods, and create an enhanced menu of options for our hearing officers. With COFHE, we hope to continue the discussion of educational sanctioning, sharing some of what we learn from our process, and facilitating sharing of ideas and resources among our COFHE group.
