Are you interested in taking a creative writing course this Spring? The Pomona College English department is now accepting writing samples.

Pre-Enrollment Information for Fall 2024 Creative Writing Courses at Pomona College

The courses below require permission from the instructor and a writing sample before enrollment:

If you wish to enroll in one of these courses, please follow these steps carefully:

1. Complete a cover sheet, making sure to list all creative writing courses you’ve taken in the past. Sheets are available outside the English Dept. office, CRO 106.
2. Attach your completed cover sheet to an appropriate writing sample. Samples of your writing from previous courses or from your portfolio are acceptable.
3. Submit online, or drop your completed writing package off at the department office, Crookshank 106, before the deadline. Submissions will not be accepted after the deadline.
4. You will receive a confirmation email for your electronic submission. Please notify Emily if you do not receive one.

You will be informed via email if you've been accepted into the course before pre-enrollment begins. While courses are open to all students, Pomona students are given preference. No student will be accepted into these courses without submitting a writing sample.

All samples must be correctly submitted by 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2024
