Resources for Faculty

Materials and resources for faculty currently teaching ID1 or a writing or speaking intensive course are available on the ID1 Resource Box Hub. Email the Writing Program if you need help accessing it. If you are not currently teaching ID1 or a writing or speaking intensive course but would like access to these materials, please email the Writing Program.

Additional Resources

Aaron Colton, Director of College Writing and Assistant Professor of English, and Alana Felton, Assistant Director of College Writing, are available to consult with faculty on course and assignment design for any course that involves communication, whether written, oral, or visual. Dr. Felton is also available to support faculty looking to explore AI-aware teaching strategies and methods of integrating critical AI literacy in their courses.

If you think that a student would benefit from additional writing support, please encourage the student to contact the CSWIM or make an appointment on our scheduler.

Attached Partners

Faculty across the College can request to work with a dedicated CSWIM Partner for their course. Attached Partners collaborate with the faculty member they're paired with to support students in one specific class across multiple assignments. The time commitment varies based on the demands of the course and assignment deadlines. Attached Partners communicate with the faculty member about the role they will play and set their own schedules for meetings with students. All Attached Partner assignments are made at the request of a professor.
