This past spring, Kirsten Housen ’23 earned a bachelor of science from Washington University along with a bachelor of arts from Pomona as part of Pomona’s 3-2 combined plan in engineering.

On Saturday, October 6, 1923, the Sagehens of Pomona College played USC in the first varsity college football game ever played on the field of the then-new Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The stadium is celebrating its centennial in 2023.

When Ernesto Gutiérrez Topete ’17 received his Ph.D. this past summer, he became the first Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship alumnus from the Claremont Colleges to achieve that goal. He will be teaching phonetics at Pomona.
