As students from Pomona College prepare to join the 50th Manzanar Pilgrimage to remember the experience of Japanese Americans who were held there during World War II, Monica Embrey '09 tells her grandmother's story.
“Crumbs from the Table of Joy” has themes that deeply resonate with the issues of our day, according to Saundra McClain who is directing students in this final play of the Pomona College Theatre Department’s 2018-2019 season.
Pomona Partners is the College’s longest-running community engagement program, founded in 1993 by a couple of Pomona College students who wanted to have a greater impact on the city of Pomona, just next door to Claremont.
