Rya Jetha '23 and Mohammed Ahmed '23 will pursue master's degrees in Cambridge University's Downing College during the next academic year as recipients of the Downing Scholarship. Each year up to two Pomona students are selected for the award.

The Forum on Education Abroad announced that Kiya Henderson '23  is the winner of its Award for Academic Achievement Abroad for her research paper, “A Retrospective Analysis of Maternal Mortality in Kisumu, Kenya from March 2021 to March 2022.

Pomona College has been named one of the top producers of U.S. Fulbright students for 2022-23 among baccalaureate institutions, as reported by The Chronicle of Higher Education.

Sara Garza Gonzalez ’25 and Valentina Liberman ’25 were selected by Pomona College and Projects for Peace to receive $10,000 to develop entrepreneurship skills for mothers from the Kuna community in Panama last summer.

Vera Berger '23 has been awarded a prestigious Churchill Scholarship that will cover her expenses for a year of master's study at Churchill College, part of the University of Cambridge. She plans to study scientific computing.

Selected from nearly 3,000 applicants, Solomon Olshin ’23 and Qingjie (Bob) Zeng ’18 will join the 2023-24 cohort of Schwarzman Scholars at Tsinghua University in Beijing next August.
