Dr. W. Benton Boone ’62, Louise Bryson, Justice Halim Dhanidina ’94 and David W. Oxtoby will address graduates at Pomona College’s 2025 Commencement ceremony to be held Sunday, May 18, at 10 a.m. on Marston Quad on the Pomona College campus. 

Biology major Isabel Ramos ’25 will spend the year after her Pomona College graduation in Asia as a Luce Scholar, expanding her knowledge of ecology, conservation and sustainable agriculture while immersed in a new culture.

James Solomon ’06 developed a love for public service while majoring in public policy analysis at Pomona College. He has been a city councilman in Jersey City, New Jersey since 2017 and is now running for mayor. 

Last July, Jonathan Lethem published his first volume of art writings titled Cellophane Bricks. Now, his book has spawned a new exhibition at the Benton Museum of Art titled Jonathan Lethem’s Parallel Play: Contemporary Art and Art Writing.

While the NCAA Woman of the Year award recognizes individual excellence in academics, leadership and community service, Alexandra Turvey ’24 sees herself as a product of her college environment. She is the first Sagehen to receive the honor.
