Campus Climate Survey

Campus scene of students walking down a path

Pomona College is working to make our campus community a place where every student, faculty and staff member has the opportunity to flourish—academically, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

During the 2019-2020 school year, we conducted a campus climate survey to assess where we were doing well, and where we might improve. The results from that survey inspired a salary equity study, helped define the mission for our staff, faculty and student wellness programs, created an enhanced faculty mentoring and retention program, and led to a new staff evaluation process that focused more intently on career development opportunities.

During the Spring 2026 semester, Pomona will conduct a follow-up campus climate survey to evaluate whether the actions we took led to positive, lasting changes—and to determine where additional efforts are needed. Hearing from our community enables Pomona to be responsive to concerns, and we have once again contracted with Rankin Climate to lead this effort.

Each of you will have an opportunity to make your voice heard by taking the survey this spring. Thank you for supporting this important project to help make Pomona a place where everyone feels welcome and included.
