Art Professor Lisa Anne Auerbach featured in the LA Times

Associate Professor of Art Lisa Anne Auerbach is part of a group of artists exhibiting site specific work at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles during a large scale renovation of the mall. Auerbach’s work consists of over 1000 linear feet of knitting pattern designs, which transform the construction barricades into brightly colored and whimsical surfaces. The patterns are a mixture of original and traditional motifs, and the iconography includes surveillance cameras, apple cores, dancing grandmothers, traffic, and more. The installation continues through the renovation and is visible on the sixth floor, near Macy’s.
