LA based writer Lisa Beebe highlighted the must see exhibitions occurring across college campuses this fall. Three Inland Empire college art galleries were included in Study Up On Contemporary Art At L.A.’s College-Affiliated Galleries. Norco College Art Gallery, Pitzer College Art Galleries, and the Bernard Charnwut Chan Gallery at Pomona College. Works featured in these galleries this fall will include ceramic vessels, fiber arts, painting, photography, and works of all media in progress. The exhibitions are guest curated or curated by students, faculty and staff of these institutions and the artists included range from established to emerging to student artists. Themes that focus on process-based work appear throughout these exhibitions from stream of consciousness doodles and works in progress to collaborative performance based works and representations of temporality in works. It is great for the LA Weekly to highlight the exhibitions occurring in college art galleries at the far reaches of the county.
