Congratulations to Matt Walker, the October recipient of ITS’ Peer-to-Peer Award! Matt has been with Pomona College for 22 years and began transitioning from his position of 15 years as Service Desk Supervisor to Media Services Coordinator this past January. Throughout this transition, Matt has exemplified the “Jack of all trades,” assisting in client services and backfilling in Media Services. His can-do attitude and willingness to take on whatever the team needs have helped to promote positive morale and good spirit in ITS. Matt is someone who does whatever it takes to get the job done. He regularly volunteers to pick up phone shifts when client services folks are sick, install printers, and has helped with the deployment of desktop machines. For Matt, the best part of his work is being able to help people with technology and looks forward to supporting the Pomona College community in this capacity in his new role. Thank you, Matt, for being a team player and helping us succeed in our mission of providing a supportive and empathetic approach to solutions, technical, and beyond.
