Open Advising has concluded for Fall 2018
*see Information Sessions for upcoming events
The Office of Study Abroad encourages all students to schedule an advising session with the Director or Assistant Director of Study Abroad. Our office provides students with tools that will help narrow down choices and help them determine which program best suits their academic goals. In addition to regular student advising appointments, open advising days are available for walk-in hours listed above.
Prior to your appointment, we ask students to fill out a Study Abroad Advising Form. Before coming in, please follow these steps to fill out an advising form:
- View the full list of approved programs.
- Select a program to visit the program brochure page. In the upper right-hand corner, click the “Request Advising” button.
- This will immediately take you to a login page, where you will enter your Pomona ID # and password. Once you are logged in, you will be prompted to fill out the Study Abroad Advising Form.
Once you have completed the Study Abroad Advising Form, please contact the Office of Study Abroad by phone (909-621-8154) to schedule an appointment or email email@example.com with your weekly availability. We will schedule an advising session for you to discuss the application process and answer any questions you may have.
The Office of Study Abroad requires students to schedule an advising session for certain programs (see list below).
Programs that require an advising session in order to access the online application:
- Cape Town: Globalization, the Environment and Society
- Middlebury programs
- UCL Molecular Biology
- UCL Neuroscience
- Programs by Petition
Students interested in submitting a petition for a program that is not on our approved list should research the programs thoroughly before the meeting and be prepared to provide details during the session.
