David Berkinsky ’19 is working on his Ph.D. in physical chemistry at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the lab of Moungi Bawendi, the winner of the 2023 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. 

Ayanna Powell ’14 reflects on her journey from Pomona to becoming a management analyst for the City of Los Angeles. 

As a transfer student to Pomona, Jordan Petersen ’19 majored in neuroscience and is now a third-year medical student at the University of Hawai’i John A. Burns School of Medicine.

A molecular biology major at Pomona, Katiannah Moise ’18 is currently a fourth-year doctoral candidate studying vascular biology at Northwestern University.

Don Chen ’18 majored in international relations and minored in Asian studies and is now a first-year law student at New York University School of Law.  

Anais Gonzalez Nyberg ’20 majored in theatre and now works as a development manager at a nonprofit called VOCEL (Viewing Our Children as Emerging Leaders).

Gabe Romero ’12, a geology major, serves in the U.S. Army as an aeromedical evacuation officer and pilot.

Samantha Peoples ’18 majored in neuroscience at Pomona and now works as an occupational therapist at a nonprofit outpatient pediatric clinic in Portland, Oregon.

After graduating from Pomona with a major in media studies, Daniel Park now works at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California, as a creative advertising coordinator.

Adam Yang, a politics major at Pomona, is now a dental student at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
