Our Mission

  • Build a stronger sense of Asian Pacific Islander community
  • Raise awareness of issues affecting Asian/Asian American and Pacific Islanders
  • Develop student leadership.
  • Act as a resource for the campus community.

The AARC acknowledges that non-Indigenous people are occupying stolen land originally inhabited by the Tongva peoples. Beyond land acknowledgements, our work is centered in Indigenous knowledge and healing. In striving to build a stronger sense of the Asian American and Pacific Islander community, raise awareness of issues affecting APIDA students, develop student leadership, and act as a resource for the campus community, the work of our committees is centered around three guiding pillars: personal, local, and regional.
