Pomona College joined an alliance of liberal arts colleges working to address racial inequalities. With our participation in the Liberal Arts Colleges Racial Equity Leadership Alliance, Pomona representatives now will have the opportunity to engage these critical issues through programming created by USC’s Race and Equity Center.
LACRELA has begun to offer monthly virtual seminars to engage in conversation around racial equity and inclusion on campus and in the classroom. Their work closely aligns with the strategic vision of the College, the aspirations of Lighting the Path to 2025, as well as the ongoing work of the Campus Climate Working Group.
Colleges in the alliance may send employees to the monthly virtual seminars featuring experts on race and higher education from the USC center and elsewhere. Faculty and staff from all divisions of the college are eligible to attend the sessions.
