The Pomona College Language Partners are advanced or native speakers who tutor and guide undergraduate students of The Claremont Colleges with their language study. We offer tutoring for Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Persian, Russian, Spanish, and Swahili.
Language Partners can help with:
- Understanding grammar points
- Practicing for an oral presentation
- Language study skills
- Improving your general language skills
Drop-in hours are offered every Monday, Wednesday, Sunday from 7-8pm, no appointment needed. Check our scheduler for additional by-appointment hours (varies by language). Don't see a time that works for you? Email us and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Language Partners also attend Language Tables several times a week to provide extra support for language beginners. Beginner day is Wednesday.
Spring 2024 Update
Tutoring will begin on Sunday, January 28. All in person appointments take place at the FLRC (Mason 101) but you will have the option for online appointments as well.
