Committed to equity and inclusion, Pomona College is proud to host the Perspectives on Pomona (POP) fall visit program. Due to Covid-19, POP will look a little different this year as the program will go virtual. The College is excited to welcome a new POP cohort to explore Pomona through virtual experiences and programming through two half-day programs on Saturday, September 19 and Saturday, September 26.
We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, traditionally underrepresented in higher education (including low-income, first-generation, rural, and those from underrepresented ethnic or racial groups), to experience Pomona through virtual interactive programming involving current students, faculty, alumni, and staff. This program is open to rising seniors attending high school in the United States. Undocumented and DACAmented students are encouraged to apply.
The Fall POP program will give prospective students an inside look into life at Pomona College. During POP, prospective students will learn and connect directly with our inspiring professors, engage in open discussions with our current students about what it’s truly like to be at Pomona, and explore all the layers of our community and its resources virtually.
Fall POP participants who apply and are admitted to Pomona College will be invited to Spring Perspectives on Pomona (POP), part of our admitted students programming in April 2021. Assuming the resumption of on-campus visits at that time, Spring POP participants will be provided with on-campus housing, meals and shuttle transportation between local airports and Pomona College. Travel grants will be available to cover airfare expenses.
